Does anyone understand, what ACIM is saying?

Hello world. The following was written 12/06/2017. A brother asks, “Does anyone understand, what ACIM is saying? It seems like almost no one does.” My response, “The key, is to switch ones focus from those outside of you, to yourself and what is happening WITHIN you. To look within at your own thoughts, emotions, and physical bodily responses, as they are happening. To stay in the here and now with the moment, looking at what is being experienced within you. As you do so, you begin to understand yourself and your own responses to the environment around you. It would be in these moments, you may change your mind about what is being experienced or has been experienced. It is in this way, the Individual may heal themselves. In doing so, they change themselves and how they are responding to the world around them. They let go, the egoistic beliefs of lying, cheating, stealing, selfishness, victimization, blame and fear. It is in these moments, one is able to take responsibility for themselves and their own choices to think and believe as they do. This is what ACIM is teaching, the Individual to do. The trigger, is the catalyst, to healing past experiences.

Hello world. The following was written 12/06/2016. Earlier today I found myself responding to my sisters friend about small dogs, Pomeranian’s to be precise. My response to them, about these dogs, was as follows. My response, “Every interaction I have ever had with a Pomeranian, has been traumatic. In every instant, they were the aggressor. I had to have the needle thing as a kid, because of one of those dogs. I am speaking, from my personal experiences. Also, an ankle biter couldn’t keep me from being raped, as a child either. It took getting a German Shepard, to do the job. So my disgust for ankle biters stands, sorry!” I would like to thank you, brother. This discussion has brought to the surface for me, something I was needing to look at and heal. Judgments held of experiences, which were very traumatic and painful mentally, emotionally and physically. In looking deeper, I recognize the pain and fear I was experiencing as the child, was carried over into my adult life. They have also helped me recognize, key elements of those situations which did stand out. Such as the size of a dog truly mattering, in how safe I feel. Continue Reading
