Why are you allowing someone else to dictate who you will be in this life?

Hello world. The following was written 11/01/2015. Something to consider, the words which lift one up, can also be used to tear one down. Seeking out the opinions or judgments of another to validate you, creates a viscous cycle in a belief of unworthiness. If they do not validate you, you are unworthy to be seen or heard by them. All hinges on the purview of someone else, approving of who you are and choose to be. Hearing words such as, You are wonderful, You are strong, I believe in you, I have faith in you, You are a wonderful leader, and You are so capable. As much as these words may lift one up, which they do, they can also tear one down when they are withheld. When does one start to realize the judgments and opinions of others, are no more than a way for one to continually punish oneself? Seeking out the approval of another, does no more than hand away your own power and control. We are taught to seek out these judgments, then to give them.
